Ray Midgett is an Outer Banks native, raised in Manteo, NC.  An avid outdoorsman and self-taught photographer, his "Outer Banks Treasures" photos have appeared in local, state, national and international publications, and he has been recognized by the North Carolina Press Association with awards in news reporting and photojournalism. Midgett is retired and lives in Southern Shores, NC.
